I never met a sunset I didn't like.

The beach is the place that restores me body, mind and soul. Every sense is awakened. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore is music to my ears. The feeling of the cool ocean breeze and the ocean mist on my skin is refreshing. The sight of the sun setting over the ocean is a calming sight. Another day is coming to an end. Regardless of the day's events, you have conquered another day. It is a peaceful feeling to watch the sunset over the ocean, watching to see how the sky will light up with color after the sun has slipped below the horizon. It is a daily show brought to us by the universe. Watching the sun reflect on the water, the clouds turning pink is a beautiful sight to behold. Standing at the waters edge enjoying nature's daily show is something I will never tire of watching. The waves crashing over the rocks and spilling over, never exactly the same. Each wave that hits the rock is a new show and a beautiful thing to capture.

I stand as close as I dare to the waters edge with my camera on the tripod, to capture every beautiful moment possible. After the sun has set and the sky starts to light up, there is a limited amount of time to capture the show. The real beauty of a truly amazing sunset doesn't happen for about 10-20 minutes after the sun has set. The sky starts to light up and if there are just enough clouds you get an amazing sunset. The slide show below is from a particularly beautiful sunset from February of this year at Aliso Creek Beach in Laguna Beach, California.
